Need mmo
Sometimes guild wars gets boring for me. In that time i need to make a little break from it, and then come back. Usually i need another mmo in a place of gw. So, what your types? I am sure many people has many good free mmos to advice.

As much as I hate to admit it , sph0nz is kinda right there. No free MMO is really good. I can recommend: Perfect World international, Rohan online, Atlantica online, La Tale, Zu online, Fiesta. Played much more "free" MMOs when bored from GW but most aren't worth mentioning. Also check out MMO site and MMO hub for reviews and a list of "free" MMO's.

sph0nz is right. You can't have all the cookies in the cookie jar without the cookie jar biting your hand off at the wrist.

Jesus Tap Dancing Christ, no.
One way to see if it's even remotely worth playing a F2P game - See it's advert. Usually you can judge a game basing on it.

I don't know of a free MMO that doesn't have alot of grinding in it. But if grinding isn't a problem for you, then I'd advice Hero Online, used to play it a bit 2 years ago. The game isn't dead yet (what I thought for such an old and free MMO), my friend say it still gets a nice and big update every month with new content. But you have to like grinding...

I just listed the games I enjoyed for a brief moment before coming back to GW. That's why I listed MMO site and MMO hub so that OP can find the game for him. And most free MMO have either OMGSOCUTE:3 character on the adds or boobs.

I played Atlantica Online for a few months and it was fun. The crafting mechanism is Atlantica is one of the best I have seen in MMO's and the turn by turn battles is a nice reprieve from the hack and slash games that seem to come out endlessly now. My only issue with it was that once I hit around 50-60, I constantly found myself in shadow dungeons which require me to team up with 3 other people or else be quickly outnumbered 3 to 1. Trying to find a party in these shadow dungeons was usually a pain as I often only ran into higher level players that had no intention of partying or questing. It does have a party finder feature similar to GW (I think it's server-wide but not 100% certain) but to it's detriment it seemed that it was rarely used by the community. This caused more frustration than enjoyment so I came back to Guild Wars for the time being.
I'll most likely be looking for another MMO to try out as soon as I finish getting Leg. Cartographer and vanquisher on my rit. Too bad it seems like none of them ever have anything close to the ritualist or paragon profession.

Try Perfect World. Mind you, it's not perfect at all but it IS better than a good number of other free MMOs. The community is also really friendly, been thinking of picking it up again myself. In contrast to many free MMOs you *gasp* actually do quests to level instead of mindlessly farming boars or wolves to level. There are even a good number of class specific quests if I remember.
It should keep you entertained at least for a while.
I should also mention that this game has a really neat security feature that no other MMOs seem to grasp. You can lock your account down for a specific amount of time, so that if your account is hacked they cannot sell/buy or delete anything. The downside is that if you accidentally (like me) set it thinking the timer is active outside of the game you are royally screwed, and have to wait (while logged in) for the timer to go down. I remember setting it for several hours to test it, man that was a bad day.

Only thing is that... that's just how many of the quests are.
Take a look at some of them here and you'll see what I mean.

True I suppose, but then that's what most of the quests are in WoW as well as other traditional P2P MMOs. Other free or foreign MMOs don't even have quests to do. At least not for long. Like I said, the community is probably the primary draw to PWI, but I played on a carebear server.

Yes, many MMO's out there suffer from this. I guess that just another thing that separates GW from other MMO's (besides some of it's unique professions).
Might I ask which server it was that you played on?

I can't remember at the moment, Nightow. All I remember is that it was a PvE server, and I'm not sure if it was the only one or not.
